A Mini Treasure Chest Bento From Yasuna

The craftsmen of Arita porcelain are known for their superior hand craftsmanship and attention to detail.

However, porcelain-making is not the only thing that the people of Arita take great care and pride in. Order a Tobako bento at the Japanese restaurant Yasuna and you will be served this aesthetically pleasing culinary delight. While it is common to take out bento and eat it elsewhere,  this particular bento is eaten in the restaurant.
Tobako bento
The Tobako bento, which translates literally as porcelain box, is so called because it is served in a porcelain box. You feel immense pleasure when the lid is removed to reveal the contents.
02
There are countless small dishes, each meticulously prepared and beautifully arranged.
For example, the Chinese yam has been shaped and coloured to resemble a cherry blossom.
03
The fish was sliced and perfectly browned.
04
Inside the bento box was another small and exquisitely patterned Arita ware.
05
This bento is also accompanied by other dishes, including tofu,
06
sashimi,
07
chirashi sushi and soup.
08
Each dish has been lovingly prepared and beautifully arranged.

The building has the atmosphere of a modern Japanese house.
09
The hallway is adorned with numerous Arita ware.
10
If you don’t relish the thought of sitting on the floor, there are also tables with chairs available.
This restaurant will enable you to experience fine Japanese cuisine prepared as delicately as Arita ware.
