Megaweb History Garage: Back to the Future fans’ Mecca

Actually, I wanted to write an article about History Garage on October, 21. Do you know why? Because October, 21 is the Back to the future day! The day when Marty McFly and Dr. Emmet “Doc” Brown arrived to the future to save the day. I really think that Marty is best role of a Canadian-American actor Michael J. Fox.Back to the future

I anticipate your fair question: “What connection does it have to the Megaweb History Garage in Odaiba?” Back to the Future fans in Japan, rejoice! Our beloved DeLorean (well, not exactly THE ONE, but who cares) is standing in this museum.Back to the futureThere is absolutely no entrance fee, which means that everyone can see it as often as he wants. You can also take as many photos of it or with it as you wish. And the best part is that on October, 21 (this Wednesday) you can have your photo taken INSIDE DeLorean! It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I’m definitely not going to miss.Back to the futureMore information can be found on the official site of Megaweb, but it is only in Japanese. In a nutshell, from 11 AM to 6 PM only first 50 groups of visitors will be allowed to take a photo inside the car. Wearing a costume like Doc’s wig and lab coat or Marty’s red puffer vest is optional.Back to the futureEven the name of this famous car, DeLorean DMC-12, is music to my ears. Featuring gull-wing doors and a brushed stainless steel body, this car was a perfect choice for turning it into the time machine. I mean, much better than the refrigerator in the original draft of Back to the future.Back to the future
