Halloween at Kaldi Coffee Farm

Kaldi Coffee Farm. What a fancy name for a grocery shop! Why is it called a farm? That’s what I thought when I first read about it. Well, this shop, which specializes in coffee beans and food from all over the world, is not as simple as one might have thought. I don’t know the reason, but there is always salsa music playing on the background whenever I visit. It is a nice twist from other coffee beans sellers, and I love salsa, but what does it have to do with coffee or farms? Apparently, nothing. But they do have some nice Mexican condiments, beer, Spanish wines etc.Kaldi Coffee Farm

Kaldi Coffee Farm boasts exotic foods from all countries in the world. To be precise, 10,000 food items from 90 countries. Wow, so much foods packed in one place! I mean, usually Kaldi takes up not so much space, and is designed like a maze, which is almost always fun. Sometimes you can really find some unique (for Japan) sweets like Polish plum in chocolate or Czech cherry liqueur chocolates, and some other foodstuff that is quite difficult to track down here. Like Melba Halloween cookies.Kaldi Coffee FarmWhat is really nice is that you can always find a branch of Kaldi Coffee Farm somewhere around, even if you don’t expect it. Actually, they have Kaldi shops in literally every big shopping mall I have ever visited. Also, there are some basic Kaldi shops (facing the street) all over Tokyo and in Yokohama.Kaldi Coffee Farm

And here they are, little Frankensteins and big Jack O’Lanterns at Kaldi Coffee Farm. Tomorrow is Halloween!Kaldi Coffee FarmKaldi Coffee Farm
