Classical music, high-quality coffee, and a view on Azabu Shopping Street – Meet Azabu Coffee

Azabu Coffee is a brand new coffee shop in (yes, quite obviously) Azabu-Juban shopping district. The entrance of Azabu CoffeeStandard drink fares in fancy Azabu-Juban cafes are usually higher, and Azabu Coffee is not an exception. While in the morning you can use their special offer and get free piece of toast and an egg with your 600 yen coffee, not many people use this option.img_1284 (1)

If you are looking for a breakfast with better cost performance, I recommend another cafe which is practically next door. Ueshima Coffee (上島珈琲店) opens two hours earlier than Azabu Coffee, and provide 4 different combinations of coffee and bread from 450 to 650 yen.Morning menu at Ueshima coffeeBut if you are a real coffee connoisseur, you have to drop by to sample Azabu Coffee blend while listening to the classical piano music from their playlist. There are some blue partition walls that prevent you from seeing too many customers: may be good if you are on a date or just want to be alone. For me it was a great chance to practice kanji without being observed by others, and no foreign guys tried to inform me that they’ve stopped learning Chinese characters (which sometimes happens at Starbucks). In fact, I was the only foreigner on the floor at that time.A cup of coffee at Azabu CoffeeThe combination of high-quality black coffee and piano classics is my second best choice after latte and jazz. If they change the atmosphere to a lounge style in the evening, so staying there with a glass of wine might be a completely different experience.Azabu Coffee menu - other beverages

The area for smokers is on the third floor, so I haven’t smelled even a tiniest bit of smoke. It is a big bonus because many coffee shops which allow smoking in Azabu Juban have rather weak doors between the two areas. Azabu Coffee third floor
